Executive summary

SecWork created an alarm system for workers in railway construction and maintenance, based on a wireless location platform (ZigBee+Wi-Fi) that monitored the staff and alert them of approaching trains. This system included a bracelet with acoustic and haptic signals that increased their level as the train was approaching each specific worker. The system was tested in real operation in railway civil works in the province of Seville (Spain).
